AUGUST 1, 2008
My Pinhole Nude Project is featured on nerve.com starting today. The project took me more than two years to complete. I used a Santa Barbara 8X10 pinhole camera -- a beautiful piece of woodwork -- and mostly color negative film. It took an astronomical amount of light to get the exposure times down to a reasonable range of thirty seconds to two minutes (or more). The setting is a spare, beat up Tribeca studio that, in the 1850s, was used by Matthew Brady. You can pay to see the pictures on Nerve or go here to see them all and buy prints. And please, buy prints!
JULY 29, 2008 You can see one picture from my Blue Nude series at Sylvia White Gallery in Ventura, California, through August 23. It's one of the works selected in an international, juried competition. The opening is Saturday, August 2, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm. The address is 1783 E. Main Street, Ventura, CA 93001.
